Truckvisor

SMS Opt-In

Effective 2026-08-18 · updated 2026-08-30 · how Truckvisor text messages work

What Truckvisor texts you

Truckvisor runs two text programs, both opt-in — and nothing else. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages, and we never text a number that has not asked us to.

1. Account verification codes — one-time. Truckvisor is trucking software: a driver confirms their own mobile number so that, before their pay is routed to a bank account, we can show the number on file is really theirs. A code is sent only in response to a request the person holding that handset just made.

2. Document expiry reminders — recurring, opt-in only. A driver who opts in is texted when a required qualification document — medical card, CDL, or hazmat — is approaching or past its expiry date: at most three reminders per expiring document, sent 7 days before, 1 day before, and on the day it expires. Reminders for that document stop automatically once a renewed copy is uploaded.

Reminder texts begin only after a carrier's registration of this program is complete, and never without the driver's own opt-in.

Where you opt in

Opt-in happens inside the Truckvisor Driver app (iOS and Android). A driver opens their own profile, taps their phone number, types the mobile number they want to confirm, and taps Send code. That tap is the consent, and it sends exactly one message. No number can be entered by anyone else — the office cannot opt a driver in, and there is no other path by which Truckvisor obtains a number to text.

Document reminders — where you opt in

After verifying their number, a driver may turn on Text me document reminders on their own profile screen in the Truckvisor Driver app. Only the driver can do this — the office cannot opt a driver in.

The consent language, in full

Truckvisor shows two separate consent disclosures, one per program, each directly above the control that grants it.

Account verification codes:

By providing your phone number and tapping Send code, you agree to receive SMS account verification codes from Truckvisor at that number. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help. We will not share mobile information with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.

Document expiry reminders:

By turning on Text me document reminders, you agree to receive recurring document expiry reminder texts from Truckvisor at your verified number — up to three reminders per expiring document. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help. We will not share mobile information with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.

Both disclosures appear on their opt-in screens directly above the button that grants consent, together with links to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

How to stop

Verification codes. Reply STOP to any message and we stop texting that number. Reply START to opt back in, or HELP for help. You can also email support@truckvisor.io and we will handle it.

Opting out has one consequence worth knowing: we can no longer confirm that number, which may prevent you from setting up direct deposit until you confirm a number you can receive texts on.

Document expiry reminders. Reply STOP to the reminders number and Truckvisor stops reminder texts, confirming with one final message; turning the toggle off on your profile screen in the app does the same. Uploading a renewed copy of a document also ends that document's reminders automatically. Verification codes are sent from a different number and are unaffected by stopping reminders.

Your mobile information is not shared

No mobile information — your phone number or your consent to be texted — is shared with third parties or affiliates for promotional or marketing purposes. Your number is passed only to our messaging provider for the sole purpose of delivering the message you requested. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
